Obituary of Hazel I. Taylor

Hazel I. (Mezger) Taylor, age 96, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mrs. Taylor was born August 6, 1912 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Fred and the late Cecilia (Dinan) Mezger. She lived in Bloomingdale. She was retired from NY Life Insurance Co. NY, NY in 1974 where she was a Secretary. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Union Ave Baptist Church and part time Secretary for Rev. Broyles & Rev. Hamilton, and Secretary/ Treasurer of the Prayer & Work Group. Previously she worked as a Secretary/Inventory Clerk for Bernstein Brothers, Paterson and a Secretary/ Customer Service Clerk at Bonat,Inc. in West Paterson. She was also the Past Corresponding Secretary of theNorth Jersey Developmental Center, Parents Council.She is survived by a daughter: Marilyn A. Taylor, a granddaughter, Denise McHone and a great-grandson, William McHone. She was predeceased by her husband, David H. and her son, David R., her brother, Alfred Mezger and her sister, Ruth Petersen. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 am at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne will be Celebrated by Rev. Henry Speidell.
