Obituary of Elio G. Sarno

Elio Guiseppe Sarno, age 79, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Mr. Sarno was born March 20, 1930 in San Michele, Italy, the son of the late Guiseppe and the late Esther (Adinolfi) Sarno. He lived in Pompton Lakes and studied at the University of Naples. Mr. Sarno was a musician performing at La Trattoria Restaurante and various other restaurants in the area. He was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Pompton Lakes.Mr. Sarno is survived by his beloved wife Dianne (French); his loving children Joseph and the late Eileen Sarno and Lisa and her husband Erick Urias; devoted grandchildren Corbett Sarno and Leif Urias and dear sisters Franca Frezzaroli and the late Wanda Ruocco. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
