Obituary of Florence Mae Massaro

Florence M. (Den Braven) Massaro, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at home in Little Egg Harbor Township. She was born in Paterson on Sept 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Florence (Chappell) and Leonard Den Braven. Florence was a resident of Prospect Park for many years before moving to Wayne, West Paterson and then south jersey. Florence worked for NJ Bell Telephone Company for 41.5 years as a manager in several locations before retiring in 1983. She was a volunteer at Wayne General Hospital and for political candidates within Passaic County since 1980. She was also involved with Congressman William Pascrell Jr. Campaigns since 1994. Florence was a member and treasurer of the Prospect Park Democratic Club from 1980-2007, a member of the West Paterson democratic club, and a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of Passaic and Bergen Counties. Florence is survived by her son Matthew S Puzio, his wife Allison, and grandchildren Vincent and Francesca. She was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1994. Visiting hours will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. which will be celebrated by William Kubofcik at the funeral home.
