Obituary of Ida Leblein

Ida (Buttito) Leblein, age 82, died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston. Mrs. Leblein was born October 12, 1924 in Newark, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Minnie (Poppalardo) Buttito. She lived in Newark before moving to West Orange. She served in the US Navy as Yeoman 1st Class during World War II in Radio Radar & Sonar Supply. She was a Women Veterans Memorial Inductee in Washington DC and the Treasurer of the Spirit of Liberty Unit # 127 W.A.V.E.S. She was retired from the City Of Newark in 1990 where she was the Municipal Court Clerk for 20 years. Mrs. Leblein was a member of Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, Verona. She is survived by one son: Robert and his wife Dana of Verona, Barbara and her husband Felice Carpenito of Verona, Judith Leblein-Josephs and her husband James of Wayne and Janet Leblein of West Orange. Also survived by her sister Antoinette Sileo of Bloomfield, a brother Joseph and his wife Mary Bottitta of Neptune, sister in law Louise Buttito of Piscataway, 7 Grandchildren, Paola, Dianna, Alexandra, Victoria, Bobby, James and Michael. 27 Nieces and Nephews and 17 Great Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick and a brother Harry Buttito. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne. Funeral on Wednesday at 8:30 am at Moore's Home for Funerals then to A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, 32 Lakeside Ave., Verona and will be celebrated by Rev. Michael A. Hanly. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
