Obituary of Edith Ver Nooy

Edith (Haas) Ver Nooy, age 75, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Ver Nooy was born February 11, 1931 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of the late John Ernest and the late Agneta (Copeland) Haas. She lived in Wayne. She graduated from Montclair State Teachers College in 1954 and was a math teacher for many years employed by William Paterson College and Passaic County Community College. She was an Active Member of the St. Josephs Hospital Auxillary, Wayne and a member of the Preakness Reformed Church, Wayne. She is survived by one daughter: Lynn Bakker of Sutton's Bay, MI, two sons: Mark Vernooy of Wayne and Paul of Hockessin, DE, one sister: Florence Downing of AZ, one brother: Raymond Haas of MD and 6 Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Husband, Malcolm Bennett Ver Nooy. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness and sharing her brownies with neighbors. All services were private.
