Obituary of John F. O´Rourke

John F. ORourke, age 85, of Totowa died Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Crozer Hospital in Chester, PA. Mr. ORourke was born in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late Michael Matthew and the late Margaret (Hancock) ORourke. He lived most of his life Totowa. Mr. ORourke was a WWII Army Veteran who fought in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge in Ardennes. He also was awarded five Bronze Stars. Before his retirement in 1985 as a supervisor, he was employed by National Standard Steel in Clifton where he worked for 25 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Little Falls, American Legion Post 227 in Totowa and was a former member of Holy Angels RC Church in Little Falls. He is survived by his wife the former Julie Clarke of Totowa, two sons; Michael of Pompton Plains and John Jr. of Media, PA. Also a sister Rose Cerutti of Cleveland, Ohio and three grandchildren: Elizabeth Wrazien, and Colin and Daniel ORourke. Visiting hours will be Monday Jan. 2, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will meet at the funeral home Tuesday Jan. 3, 2006 at 8:30 AM and then 9:30 AM at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Michael Lombardo. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
