I worked briefly with Amalia this past summer. She was such a kind soul and her love of the students was so obvious. It was a blessing to work with her and get to know her the bit I did. She will be a beautiful angel. God bless her family and friends.

I've had the pleasure of working with Amalia at the Deron School over the past year.. When she was placed in my classroom for a few days, I learned very quickly how truly beautiful her soul is. I'm so grateful to have been in her presence - for the stories and bits of her life she chose to share, the love she holds for all the students.. her kindness and passion.. the loving energy she has always so naturally exuded... Amalia was, and forever is, a real life angel. My heart is genuinely saddened, knowing I will no longer pass her in these halls.. or be graced by her warm smile on a tough day.. but her light will continue to shine on; she resides in the hearts of many. Sending all my love and prayers to those feeling the heavy weight of this loss.. Rest in peace Amalia <3

I worked with Amalia at The Deron School. I did not know her very well, but she was always so kind whenever we did interact. I can tell she enjoyed working with children a lot. We will miss her very much at Deron.

As kids I remember watching Amalita draw and paint with such ease. As an adult I can recall how her nephews and nieces were drawn to her for advice...but most of all I recall the extraordinary love she always had for her children and how much they love her. Rest in peace my friend.
