Obituary of Robert Arthur Moore

Robert Arthur Moore passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was 79. Robert was born in Paterson, the son of the late John and the late Magdalene (Miele) Moore. He resided in Pompton Lakes before moving to Wanaque. Bob started out at a young age sweeping the floor in his god-father's shop, Robertiello's Auto Body on West Broadway in Paterson. He worked there, purchasing it several years later, and running it until his son Robert took it over. After his retirement he would still go to the "shop" a few days a week to visit with the customers. Bob served in the US Army, stationed in Germany in A Battery, Howitzer division and recognized their 60 year service anniversary last year. Bob was also active in Pompton Lakes Little League Baseball and Soccer Associations. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sandra (Noto); three loving children, Robert Lewis and his wife Lori, Daniel, and Lisa; his cherished grandchildren, Robert Patrick and Kelly; his brothers John and his wife Judith, and Henry; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Edward, his sister Loretta and her husband William Botlick, and sister-in-law Carol Moore. Visiting hours will be on Friday April 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 21 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home which will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Interment will follow in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn.
