Dear Gerry and Family,
So sorry to hear the sudden passing of Siliva. She was a very kind woman. Jerry and Silvia were the first neighbors we met 23 yrs ago when we moved to Sequoia Place. My prayers and thoughts to Jerry and the entire family. I lost my dad to covid-19 so I know the pain of losing a loved one to this dreadful virus and not be able to be with them in the hospital is the hardest part. May you all find peace one day and I pray for her eternal rest.

I worked with Sylvia for many years as a teacher of English in the Paterson Adult School. We would often sit and chat before classes began and we shared stories of our children and all of their escapades. We were both working extra jobs to make ends meet and so we developed a bond.
She loved teaching the immigrants and was loved by them in return.
She was a gracious lady and always ready to lend a helping hand.
May she rest in heavenly peace.
As Sylvia nephew I knew her from the early 1970's and she was always a very kind gentle wonderful person to know and be around. May she rest in peace and continue her journey with God and his will....

My deepest sympathy to both the Jones and DeStefano families. My wonderful memories of Sylvia date back to 1961 when she was a sophomore in my honors English class at Central High School. Not only was she lovely, she was also smart. I can still feel her presence in that class almost 60 years later. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. God bless!!!!!
Sylvia was a high school and college friend of mine. She was an extremely smart person who many of us relied upon in times when we did not understand an academic problem. Always caring! As the years went in and we went our own wayside our careers we only connected once as newlyweds. May she Rest In Peace with good memories of her friends as we have of her. Condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathy to Jerry and all of Sylvia’s family. I was fortunate enough to be invited to stay at their home, their hospitality and making me feel welcome was so appreciated. I’m so sorry, Gina, your mom was the best and I’m happy Bella and Gia got to know her. I will think of her often, may she Rest In Peace. She was truly loved by those that knew her.
Although we didn't see Sylvia often the times we did were always a good time.So happy we were able to be a part of the DeStefano family reunions. I always loved talking to her. She was a sweet and lovely person.She will be truly missed. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her family and friends especially her husband Jerry, her children, grandchildren and her brothers.
Although we didn’t know Sylvia very well, the holiday dinners we shared with her and Jerry were such nice times. Vince and I offer our prayers and comfort. May God bring healing, in time, and may loving memories of Sylvia bring her family peace.
Sylvia was not only a friend but like a sister to me. We could tell each other everything and anything. I still have more to tell her. We saw each other almost every Saturday night for dinner, movies, shopping or just fun for the last 30 years. Bob and I will miss her so much and Saturday night will never be the same. Rest in peace my friend.
