It is with great sadness that I read about Pat's passing. She was so gracious and helpful when my mother passed in 2019. She handled the logistics of bringing my mother back to NJ from Georgia. I so appreciated Pat's kindness during one of the most difficult times in my life. May her memory be a blessing to all.

Dear Robert & Family, I am so saddened to learn of Pat's passing. It was exactly 12 years ago today that I found myself sitting unexpectedly with Pat in her office at Moore's Funeral Home. I was devastated at the sudden passing of my Dad, Carl Leckburg. My grief was so deep and so profound that I really did not know what to do and/or how to cope. Pat was amazing! Her ability to comfort me in my time of need was genuine and so loving. Her goodness, kindness, compassion and loving grace made the impossible... possible. Pat was a real life angel comforting me in my immense time of need. Whenever I reflect on my Dad's passing on that unbelievable day in November - I will think of Pat. She is forever a part of my Dad's journey, and our families story. Pat is the person who helped us (my mom, sister, brother and family) to process and grieve such a tremendous loss. Among other lessons related to loss and grief Pat is the one who taught me "there are no shoes in heaven" and the thought of that moment always brings a smile and a bit of laughter to me! Pat leaves a tremendous legacy of love, and that is evident in cherished memories, and in her loving family. My sincerest condolences to you Robert and to all of the Moore family. Keep the faith. I cannot begin to tell you how saddened I am to hear of Pat's passing. The last time I saw her was at the services for Robin Kamper. She was in great spirits and seemed to be doing so very well. Rob and Robbie I am so sad to hear about Pat’’s passing. She was supportive and an inspiration to me when I was going through Chemo, while she was struggling with her own disease. Pat is my mom's first cousin her mother and my grandmother are sisters. A few years ago I had reached out to Pat wanting to know more about our family tree...she was so kind she called me immediately and gathered all the information she had about our family and shared it with me. To Rob and Robbie, Pat was a true friend, a lady and a leader. When I joined NFDA I was nervous and unsure of what to do. Pat befriended me and made me feel so accepted. We would shop together, lay by the pool together in Vegas, go into the wine country and tour Coors in Boulder. She was so much fun but I could learn more about funeral service and leadership from her than all the board members. Pat will genuinely be missed by me and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Heaven got another angel today. Love you Pat till we meet again!

To the Moore and Joseph families - My deepest sympathies to you all. I felt such a void in this world when I heard of Pat's passing. When I think of the the 40+ years of the Cana picnics, the Josephs are forefront in my heart and mind and Patty is right there at the top. There were a lot of big personalities among the adults (parents) and Patty was always right in there with them, joking and laughing. She was the bond that brought the kids in all the families together - leading us on scavenger hunts and egg tosses. And years later when the picnics were getting to be too much for our folks, Patty suggested that the kids (now adults) give it a try. She lead us all in making Mr. Samra's shish-ke-bob, which was a brave task to take on. But if anyone could do it, Patty could - and because of Patty (and the other Joseph's) we gave our parents one last Cana picnic. Pat and Rob have been there for my family at some of our most difficult times and for that I will be forever grateful. I know her strength and warmth have helped so many through similar times and I pray that the strength and caring from the community that she has helped for so many years will be there to guide the Moores and Josephs through this difficult time. As my heart breaks for Pat's passing, I find comfort in knowing that the world is a better place because of her and I have been truly blessed for having known her. My thoughts and prayers to you all.
