Pre-Planning

Most families today plan for every aspect of life, such as education, vacations, weddings and retirement. Individuals also plan for what "Might" happen such as fire, accident or flood. So doesn't it make sense that each year more than one million people plan and pay for their final expenses ahead of time? Today it is becoming more and more common for people to plan funerals before death occurs. This planning might involve your own funeral or the funeral of a family member. In fact, funeral planning is an important part of sound estate planning for those in the prime of life.
Our family at Moore's Home for Funerals believe in prearranged funerals. Pre-planning ensures that your loved ones will not have to deal with difficult decisions at the time of death. They can better use that time with each other to reflect and heal.
Pre-arrangements are simple and easy. Call us and make an appointment and we will assist you in all stages of planning. We are available at night and on the weekend for your convenience. A complete record of your arrangements will be retained to insure that your wishes are carried out. No detail will be overlooked.
Give some thought to the following items you may choose to select during the prearrangement conference:

DISPOSITION: Burial, Cremation, Entombment, And Whole Body Donation

MERCHANDISE: Casket type (wood or metal), Vault or Liner, Cremation Urn, Prayer Cards, Register Book, Clothing.

SERVICES: Location (Funeral Home, Church, Family Home), Open/Closed Casket, Officiant, Music, Readings and, Visiting Hours.

OTHER: Obituary Notice, Memorial gifts, Flowers

Our Directors will explain any questions you may have and ensure that you have all the necessary information to make a sound decision.

In addition to making pre-arrangements, you may also choose to prepay the funeral in advance. At Moore's Home for Funerals, we offer the use of the New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund.

The NJ Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund is a program of the New Jersey Funeral Directors Association where an FDIC insured account will be set up in your name and pooled with thousands of other accounts and earning a competitive rate of interest. The interest earned over time should help to offset the costs of inflation of the funeral you selected.

Both federal and state laws regarding the funeral industry protect New Jersey Residents. We have 100% trusting laws and are protected by Prepaid Funeral Agreements Law.

Planning ahead for your funeral is a wise choice for you and your loved ones. It will ease the burden at the time of death. Remember, with a prearrangement plan, you are in charge. Most people find this comforting. A pre-planned funeral has been described as

"The kindest gift you can give your family."
