Obituary of John Lillo
John Lillo, age 80, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Mr. Lillo was born February 20, 1926 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Joseph and the late Rose (Suizzo) Lillo. He lived in Lavallette, NJ and was formerly of Wayne and Wanaque. He served in the U.S. Airforce during WWII.
He was employed by ITT in Nutley where he was Electrical Engineer for 39 years before retiring in 1986. Later he worked at the Quarry Restaurant in Hamburg.
Mr. Lillo was a member of The Quarter Century Club of ITT , attended St. Francis R.C. Church in Wanaque and a member of Our Lady of Queen of Peace in Lavallette, NJ.
He is survived by his wife the former: Helen (DAloisio) of Brick, two daughters: Rosemarie Reynolds of Pompton Plains, Kathleen Cahill of Hamburg, two sons: John A. of Lavallette and Joseph of Lawrenceville, GA, 7 Grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Matthew, Michele, Stephanie, Johnnie and Bobby and one Great Granddaughter, Amanda. He was predeceased by his brother, C. Joseph and sister Jeanette Calvitti.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Monday at 9:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi, 868 Ringwood Avenue, Haskell where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Msgr. Remigio Rocco. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
