Obituary of Frank Biz Bizlewicz

Frank Biz Bizlewicz, age 93, of Wayne died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Barnert Hospital, Paterson. Mr. Bizlewicz was born June 11, 1909 in Jersey City, NJ the son of the late Adam and the late Eva (Warciski) Bizlewicz. He married Constance Barba and lived in Bloomfield before moving to Wayne 41 years ago.He served in the Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1945 during World War II war. He was a star member of the 1929 Dickinson High School, Jersey City, Football Squad and was named All State Center for that season. He was a 1945 graduate of Newark State Normal Teachers College earning a BS in 1945. He was captain of the Basketball Team there. He was an Industrial Arts teacher and Coach employed by Ferris High School, Jersey City,NJ for over 40 years retiring in 1975. He was also a Referee for the National Association of Approved Basketball Officials [ NAABO ] officiating at New Jersey High school Basketball Games for over 25 years. He was a member of the NJEA. During the 1939 and 1940 Seasons, he played football for the NJ Giants Organization. Mr. Bizlewicz was a member of Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne, NJ. He is survived by his wife Connie of Wayne, one daughter: Lisa Bizlewicz of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, one son: Peter Bizlewicz of Wayne, NJ Visiting hours will be Friday, November 22, 2002 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd., Wayne, NJ. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpk., Wayne where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Fr. Phil LeBeau. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa.
