Obituary of Catherine Rose Orsita

Catherine Rose ''Babe'' (Pascrell) Orsita, age 91, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Preakness Health Care Center, Wayne. Mrs. Orsita was born October 1, 1926 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Mae (Fierro) Pascrell. She lived in Wayne since 1995 and was formerly of South Paterson. She was employed for many years by DiGangi's Paterson. Mrs. Orsita was a member of Founding member of Abundant Life Worship Center, Lincoln Park. She was very active at Siena Village - running the Bingo there. Catherine was a great cook and dessert maker and was devoted to her family. She was the Beloved mother of: Patty and her husband Joe Statuto, Cathy and her husband Harry Warren and Fred Orsita. Devoted grandmother of grandchildren : Joseph Statuto and his wife Dina, Jason Statuto and his wife Mariangela, Hannah Warren, Lisa Warren Custode and her husband Gino, Justin Kimble and his wife Vanessa, Fred J. Orsita and Sarah Orsita and great grandchildren : Nicholas, Christina, Joseph, Thomas, Daniel, Shane, Joshua, Noah, Sophia, Elliot, Lucas, Amelia and Bella. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews and best friend of Betty Lennon. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Fred and sisters: Marie Tarantino, Rose Campilango and Phyllis Pascrell. Visiting hours will be Friday, October 13, 2017 from 4-8 PM. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 am at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
