Obituary of Mary I. Garzieri

Mary I. (Baglieri) Garzieri, age 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson. She was born April 15, 1923 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Emanuel and the late Josephine (Rollo) Baglieri. Mrs. Garzieri lived in Wayne for over 60 years and was formerly of Brooklyn. She was a seamstress for many years employed by Bill Blass Sport, New York, NY, and later by Wallach's in New Jersey before retiring. Mrs. Garzieri was a parishioner of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church and a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital for many years. Mrs. Garzieri is survived by her beloved daughter Janet Garzieri; her loving siblings: Rosaria Bocchieri and Salvatore Baglieri and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1979. Visiting hours will be Friday, August 18, 2017 from 4-8 pm. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass at 9:30 am at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd, Wayne which will be celebrated by Msgr. Peter J. Doody. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Memorial donations in Mrs. Garzieri's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
