Obituary of Michael J. Stager

Michael J. "Mickey" Stager, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Health Center at Bloomingdale. Mr. Stager was born April 24, 1941 in Paterson, the son of the late Albert and the late Alice (McGarry) Stager. He lived in Oak Ridge for the past 49 years. Mr. Stager served in the US Army, 82nd Airborne. He retired in 2003 from Kramer Chemical in Clifton where he was a truck driver for over 20 years. Mr. Stager then drove for Jordan Transportation, part-time for 10 years. He loved fishing and traveling and his joy was doing anything he could do with his grandchildren. Mr. Stager is survived by his beloved wife Gail (Parks); his loving children, Michael, William, Kevin, Todd, Randy, Cheryl, Kelly and Dana; his 13 devoted grandchildren and 4 cherished great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the funeral on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
