Charles Michael Facas, age 72, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ. Commander Facas was born August 25, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Charles and the late Mary (Abdo) Facas. He lived in Pompton Lakes. Charles served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and retired in 1992 from the US Naval Reserve as a Commander after 24 years of service. He was an ISO9001 Lead Auditor and previously worked for Microseal in Paterson, NJ for 21 years. Commander Facas was a member of the Fordham Alumni Club and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
He is survived by his loving wife: Wendy (Brown) Facas, two daughters: Nina Restieri and Nicole Johnstone, his son: Charles A. Facas, two sisters: Joanne Montana and Diane Nahass, and his brother: Richard and his wife Carol Facas. Charlie also leaves six grandchildren, Andrew, Jenna, Matthew, Jaime, Justin and Annabelle.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 3-6 PM.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 5:30 pm and will be celebrated by Deacon Ed Bsarany.
Private Cremation will follow.
