Obituary of Ann Denner

Ann (Ulisse) Denner, aged 87, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 24, 2017. Born Anna Margherita Ulisse April 3, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the youngest child of Mary and Anthony Ulisse. Ann started her pursuit of her lifelong interest in fashion young, attending Sarah J. Hale Vocational High School, then landing a designing job at Bergdorf Goodman soon after graduation. She later worked as a stylist at the Warsaw & Co. photography studio in Manhattan where she made sure the models were "picture perfect". It was there where she met her photographer husband, Manny. After the birth of her two children, she and Manny moved to Long Island. In 1971, she founded Chameleon Couture Inc. designing one of a kind clothing for individual clients. After retiring, she and her husband moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1996. In her creative writing, drawings, paintings, jewelry design and sculpture, Ann was able to express her eccentric and unconventional imagination. She will be remembered for her irreverent sense of humor, her often outrageous fashion sense, a love of great music, good food and bad puns! Ann was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Manuel Denner and her two brothers Tom and Arthur Ulisse. She is survived by her two children, son Anton Denner and wife Nicki, and daughter Yvonne Rup and husband Gene. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home with a celebration of her life at 3:00 pm.
