Obituary of Elisabeth Maria Hoeher

Elisabeth Maria (Kocura) Hoeher, age 94, of Wayne, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Elisabeth was born in Leverkusen, Germany, one of ten children, and emigrated to the USA with her husband, Edelbert in 1954 settling in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. Elisabeth was predeceased by Edel (1999) and son-in-law, Christopher Ford (2015). She is survived by her daughters, Christa and her husband John Reddy, Barbara Ford, and Karen and her husband Don McIver and grandchildren, Joe Reddy and his husband Robert Brown, Marie and Kathryn Reddy, Marcus and his wife Kelly Ford, Elisabeth and her husband Dave Yungbluth, Kelley, Martin and Erin McIver and great-grandchildren Ava, Jack and John Yungbluth. Elisabeth also leaves behind her brother, Karl Kocura, and many close relatives and friends with whom she and Edel built their lives in New Jersey. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 4-8 pm. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
