Obituary of Anne Brittain

Anne (Ruff) Brittain, age 103, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Atrium at Wayne. Mrs. Brittain was born May 19, 1913, the daughter of the late Henry and the late Margarethe (Thierauf) Ruff. She was raised in Jersey City, graduated from high school there and worked as a secretary for Pacific Mills in New York before moving to California in 1946. There, Mrs. Brittain met and married her late husband Ralph of 30 years. She worked for FMC Corporation in Riverside CA before retiring at the age of 65. In 1985, she moved to Saratoga Springs and returned to New Jersey in 2013. Mrs. Brittain is survived by her nephew, Barry Collins and her nieces: Susan A Flanagan, Trudi Schulz, Linda Ruff, Teri Szalay, Erica Folk, Jane Henrich, Ann Scarano, Mary Durham, Alice Henrich, Claire Henrich and Lorraine Henrich. She was predeceased by her nephew, Christopher Flanagan. The family will receive their friends on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The memorial service will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Ruthann Brown. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the charity of your choice in Anne's memory.
