Johnny Cheung

Obituary of Johnny Cheung

Johnny Cheung went home to our Heavenly Father on September 8th, 2016 at the age of 60. Mr. Cheung was born August 4, 1956 in New York, NY the son of Lois (Ma) and the late Chester Cheung. He lived in Montville and was a CPA and a business owner. One thing could be guaranteed when you greeted Johnny Cheung – a warm, genuine smile and open arms were always there to meet you. To all who were fortunate enough to meet and know Johnny, the list of loveable characteristics about this man would be extensive. Whether because of his corny, childish jokes and ability to get along with all age-groups (particularly kids), his passion on the basketball court, or his insatiable appetite as a "meat and potatoes man", Johnny was truly loved and adored by all. This is because he was the rare type of person to unconditionally offer help without hesitation, put others first, and show respect and kindness to all he encountered. But what was most endearing about Johnny to all who knew him was the unending love he had for his friends, his beloved family, and most importantly, God. First and foremost, Johnny was a Godly man and a spiritual leader of his house who lived to serve our Father. So while we will all miss his comforting demeanor and heart of gold, there is solace in knowing that Johnny continues to watch over us in Heaven with that goofy smile on his face we all loved so much.
