Obituary of Patricia Joan Magda

Patricia Joan (Dudzik) Magda, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Magda was born September 30, 1943 in Passaic, the daughter of the late Benjamin and the late Sophie (Kruk) Dudzik. She graduated with honors from William Paterson University and received a Bachelor's degree in Education and a certification as an ESL teacher. She retired in 2011 after working in St. Mary's School in Paterson. Mrs. Magda enjoyed traveling all over the world with her lady friends. She was an avid reader and loved the Jersey shore. Mrs. Magda was a member of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church. Mrs. Magda is survived by her beloved children, Debra Lynn and her husband Joseph Gourley and Robert and his wife Lisa; her loving grandchildren, Jason Small and his wife Amy, Nicole Magda and Christopher Magda; her cherished great-grandchildren, Logan and Georgie Lyn; her loving sister Kathy and her husband Michael Carey; many cousins; and her dear lady friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert. Visiting hours will be Friday, September 9, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Father Peter Wells. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Magda's name may be made to Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne, NJ 07470
