Obituary of Irma Elizabeth Eccles

Irma Elizabeth (Furstinger) Eccles, age 86, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Tinton Falls. Mrs. Eccles was born October 16, 1929 in Passaic, NJ the daughter of the late Stephen and the late Julia (Somos) Furstinger. She lived in Toms River and previously in Brick. Irma was retired from Fort Monmouth, in 1995 where she was a US Army Logistics and maintenance Directorate for 21 years. She was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church. Irma was very knowledgeable and active in finance and stock investing. She worked for a period of time in South Korea and very much enjoyed being there and learning about the Korean culture. She also liked visiting Disney Land. She is survived by her children: Thomas, Charles and Laura Eccles, two sisters: Rose Molner and Dorothy MacKenzie; and nieces and nephews: Nancy Furstinger, Frank Furstinger, George Novak, Robert Novak, Linda Llewellyn , Sue Schneider, Doris Kubasta, John Kubasta, Jim MacKenzie, Steve MacKenzie, Sharon MacKenzie, Marien MacKenzie, Diane Irrgang and Kathy Morgan. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Robert in 1994, her brothers, Frank and Steve Furstinger and sisters, Julia Kubasta, Margaret Novak and Mary Furstinger. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4PM. The funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
