Obituary of Joan Mealey

Joan Mealey, age 83, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Mealey was born July 2, 1932 in Hoboken, the daughter of the late Harry E. and the late Vera (Curtin) Sutton. Formerly of Franklin Lakes, she lived in Wayne for over 20 years. Mrs. Mealey was a retired History and English middle school teacher at St. Elizabeth's School in Wyckoff. She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church in Wayne, and previously a member of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Franklin Lakes. Mrs. Mealey is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Mealey; her loving children Liz and her husband Stephen Flack, and Paul Mealey; her cherished grandchildren, Keeley, Kyle, Keenan and Kristin Flack; and her dear brother James Sutton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maryellen Mealey (4/18/2016). Friends are welcome to attend the memorial Mass on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne which will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
