Obituary of Rosina Barone

Rosina (Carbone) Barone, age 87, of Wayne, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 7, 2016, with the comfort of family by her side. Mrs. Barone was born April 10, 1929 in Santa Sofia D'Epiro in Cosenza, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Elvira (Lopes) Carbone. She is survived by her daughters, Patrizia Barone and Sapienza Barone (husband Brodie Remington), and her son Marcello Barone (wife Susan Hindle Barone and grandson Alexander Barone). She was predeceased by her husband, Francesco Barone in 1995. Rosina was full of life, friendly, down to earth and beloved by everyone who met her. She was a great cook; her home cooked meals were legendary and were enjoyed by many throughout her life. She was also an avid gardener and the entire neighborhood looked forward to looking at the gorgeous flowers in her yard, as well as partaking of the delicious vegetables she grew. She traveled all over the world and was fluent in four languages ( Albanese, Italian, Spanish and English). Her family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2016, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church, 630 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ, with the funeral mass following at 11:00 AM.
