Obituary of Louis L. Maturo

Louis L. Maturo, age 88, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at home in West Milford. Mr. Maturo was born August 4, 1927 in Paterson, the son of the late Filippo and the late Lucia (Gasbarro) Maturo. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Maturo was an insurance adjuster employed by State Farm Insurance in Wayne. He was a member of St Anthony's RC Church in Paterson and a Past Grand Knight and member of the Knights of Columbus Council #240 in Paterson. Mr. Maturo is survived by his beloved wife Sally (Matthews) Maturo; his loving children, Debra Kerr, Vickie Mirsik, John Aleman, and son in law William Nichols; his devoted grandchildren, Jeremy Hughes and Stacy Zayas; his cherished great-grandson, Sean Hughes; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, William Aleman and daughter, Luann DePalma. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. There will be a memorial service on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Memorial donations in Mr. Maturo's name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
