Obituary of Karen Lee Dougherty

Karen Lee (McKowen) Dougherty, age 58, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Mrs. Dougherty was born March 30, 1957 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of Robert and the late Joyce L. (Nichols) McKowen. She lived in Pompton Lakes. Karen was a graduate of Wayne Hills High School and volunteer at the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter. She was employed by K & C Bagels in Pompton Plains as a deli worker since 2002. She is survived by her father Robert McKowen and his companion, Gloria Krueger and her best friend, Debbie. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, Joyce L. (Nichols) and her sister: Lynn Mc Guire. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 PM. A memorial service will be celebrated at 3:30 pm.
