Obituary of Maria Adamo

Maria Adamo, age 106, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Mrs. Adamo was born December 9, 1908 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Antonio and the late Maria (Grafeo) Ferro. She moved to Pompton Lakes in 1973 after retiring as a seamstress. Mrs. Adamo is survived by her loving grandson, Nicholas Adamo, granddaughter, Maria Adamo and 3 great-grandchildren; her cherished niece, Jami Mattson and great-nieces, Nicole and Jessica Mattson, many other nieces and nephews; and her dear daughter-in-law Mary Adamo. She was predeceased by her son, Nick Adamo; brothers, Willie, Nori, Joseph, John and Eddie Ferro, and her sisters, Vera La Monica and Annie Cascio. Visiting hours will be Friday July 17, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Linden Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ridgewood, NY.
