Obituary of Thomas Darrell Nance

Thomas Darrell Nance, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22, 2015. Tom passed peacefully while under the care of his loving daughter Beverly and son in law Joe at their home in Wayne. Mr. Nance was born May 23, 1938 in Wayne, WV the son of the late Clempson and the late Marcel (Mullens) Nance. He first enlisted in the US Navy on June 5, 1955 until he was honorably discharged from active serve October 31, 1957. He served in the Naval Reserve for 15 years until retiring in 1990. For many years, he was a volunteer fireman for Wayne Company # 4. Tom was married to the love of his life, the late Dorothy, for 43 years. They loved working together over 40 years as Resident managers of the Wayne Village Apartments. He is survived by his loving children; Beverly and her husband Joseph Schueler and Albert and his wife Peggy Deer, his siblings; Lois Baird, Jane Schull and her husband Charles, Margaret Adkins, Leona Blankenship, Ellen Nelson, C.E. Nance Jr. and his wife Lily and Jack Nance; two grandchildren, Gary Deer and Nicole George and her husband Kanan ; 2 great-grandchildren, Sophie and Ethan, a sister-in-law, Joan Radicia and a niece and nephew, Pat And George Radicia. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Eileen (Flynn) in 2010 and his brothers, Harold and Donald. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Annunciation of The Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Fr. Louis J. Scurti. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Disease I & R Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, One R. W. J. Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
